Nano Aquariums

Nano aquariums are gaining popularity among more and more people. It is now possible to keep species in tanks much smaller than once previously thought such as anemones and gorgonians. Many of the new nano aquariums available now have a fully built in filtration system and lighting all in one unit making them a aesthetic piece of furniture that needs nothing more than a heater to be complete. Breakthroughs in technology have allowed different lighting  ( LED, Metal halide and T5) to be incorporated to grow anything from the oceans in your own home. Nano aquariums do require some special care as they usually have a much smaller water volume enabling them to become nutrient bound more easily. A good maintenance schedule with proper water changes are required.
